Leo Messi was discharged from hospital this Friday lunchtime after having had his fifth metatarsal on his left foot operated on. He Argentine player will now begin his process of recuperation, which is thought to last for around three months.
Two Sessions
As of now, the Argentine forward begins the first phase of recovery, which consists of two daily sessions; morning and afternoon. The sessions are designed to help with the recovery of his injury and also to maintain his fitness levels.
The process in detail
During the first phase, the player is not allowed to touch the floor with his foot, it will be carried out within the confines of the club and will last approximately 6 weeks. Exercises will be done to maintain the thigh and calf muscles in preparation for the second phase. After 6 weeks, he will be able to return to the pitch in order to continue his recovery to full fitness.
